Welcome back! Alumni Relations Office (ARO) staff appreciate visits by our alumni to their alma mater.  Some alumni arrange to meet the staff or even just pop-in when in the vicinity. Post our Covid-19 experiences and more than two years of not engaging in person, these visits are welcomed.

Nelson Mandela University Alumni Relations launched the Mandela Alumni Connect (MAC) platform in 2021. 

 

Financial Literacy Education Specialist and Founder of “It’s a Breeze”, Mandela Alumnus Marc Johnson (Mark Johnson) embarked on his tour from Cape Agulhas to Kigali, a 5000-kilometre journey as an Educational Change Maker via motorbike.
 
 

VC and SA Embassy Berlin host an alumni and stakeholder event

Vice-Chancellor Professor Sibongile Muthwa, with the generous support of the SA Embassy in Berlin, hosted “An evening with Nelson Mandela University”, which was attended by more than sixty alumni, former study abroad students and other stakeholders.

Nelson Mandela University launched a multi-year global Giving Campaign on 3 July 2023, to raise R30 million to support four projects, based on empowerment and social redress.
