VC and SA Embassy Berlin host an alumni and stakeholder event
Vice-Chancellor Professor Sibongile Muthwa, with the generous support of the SA Embassy in Berlin, hosted “An evening with Nelson Mandela University”, which was attended by more than sixty alumni, former study abroad students and other stakeholders.
The Berlin stakeholder event took place after the celebration of a 25-year partnership with Oldenburg University and signing of a new five year partnership agreement in Oldenburg.
Prof Muthwa shared with alumni and friends recent institutional developments and strategic initiatives.
She invited all stakeholders to support the university on its journey to be in service to society. Alumni and former study abroad students enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with their alma mater and each other at the SA-themed event.
The Berlin visit also included engagements with a development agency and a sustainability research institute as well as a visit to the Nelson Mandela International School.
