The Student Alumni Society (SAS) embarked on a new bursary campaign this year - "A T-shirt for a special cause". Their initial target was to sell 2500 Madiba T-shirts but with the support so many students, staff, departments, alumni and friends, they managed to almost double their target selling 4578 t-shirts to date.
More than twenty direct alumni engagement events took place during 2016 with events in major South African centres as well as an event in Gaborone where the launch of the Botswana Alumni Chapter took place to coincide with the country’s 50th independence anniversary.
