Hailing from the serene Mpozolo Village in Dutywa, nestled in the heart of the Eastern Cape, Sibonise Tshiseka's transition from the tranquil surroundings of his hometown to the vibrant realms of Information Technology is truly noteworthy.
 
His academic voyage commenced at Upper Nywara SPS, where the seeds of his passion for technology were sown. The journey continued at Mazizini High School, where he successfully matriculated, laying the foundation for a career that would see him leave an indelible mark in the IT landscape.
 
Upon entering Nelson Mandela University, Sibonise pursued a Diploma in Information Technology, graduating in 2021. Driven by an insatiable appetite for knowledge, he furthered his studies with an Advanced Diploma in Information Technology, which he completed in 2022. Armed with a comprehensive understanding of IT, he embarked on a professional journey that has seen him become an invaluable asset in the field.
 
Before joining Adapt IT as a Technical Support Engineer, Sibonise honed his skills at Nelson Mandela University, serving in roles such as IT Support and Junior Network Engineer. His expertise was further honed as a System Administrator/IT Support Tech for Quest Staffing Solutions, a service provider for VWSA.
 
Currently, he serves as a Senior ICT Support Technician at Rosebank College, where he plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the activities of the ICT support staff. Beyond the technical aspects, he ensures the campus receives seamless IT support during regular business hours, a testament to his commitment to excellence.
 
Looking ahead, Sibonise envisions himself in a senior management position within the IT realm, aspiring to take on roles such as Director or Chief Information Officer (CIO). His dedication to continuous improvement is reflected in his plan to pursue a master's degree, further solidifying his expertise in the ever-evolving field of Information Technology.
 
His optimism and understanding of his roots are the guiding forces behind his decision-making. He attributes his leadership acumen to his role as the SRC Campus Premier in 2021, a transformative experience that laid the groundwork for collaboration and engagement with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
 
In reflecting on his journey, Sibonise emphasizes the importance of effort and self-motivation, urging young professionals to go beyond superficial connections. He advocates for genuine networking, emphasizing the need for meaningful interactions with influential figures in both the public and private sectors, recognizing the invaluable role networking plays in the contemporary economy.
 
His story is one of continuous learning and a commitment to making a lasting impact in the world of Information Technology. As he navigates the ever-evolving landscape of IT, his vision, coupled with an unwavering work ethic, serves as an inspiration for aspiring professionals and a testament to the transformative power of education and determination.
 
Sibonise shares, “I believe in putting in a lot of effort and pushing oneself, not only should young people be preoccupied with taking photos with influential individuals, but they should also network whenever they come across prominent individuals, whether they work for the government or the private sector, the current economy requires people that can network.”
