
These graduates join a family of more than 130 000 graduates who obtained more than 180 000 qualifications from Nelson Mandela University and its founding institutions.
A total of 18 ceremonies were held, beginning with the George Campus on April 4, 2025, and continuing in Gqeberha from April 11 to 24, 2025.
The University conferred honorary doctorates on four distinguished individuals, namely:

Ms Letta Nomali Mbulu – in recognition of her exceptional contributions to music and the arts.

Ms Ntombifuthi Temperance Mtoba – for her trailblazing leadership in business and finance.

Professor Amina Caroline Mama – for her scholarly contributions to African feminism and social justice.

Professor David Richard Boyd – for his dedication to environmental rights and sustainability.
Congratulations to all the graduands and their families, along with the academic and support staff, whose contributions have been essential to this significant achievement.
