Change the world

13/04/2026

Nelson Mandela University invites you to help shape the next chapter of our Vision 2030 strategy. As we reach the midpoint of our five-year journey (2021–2025), the Vision 2030 Mid Term Review offers an opportunity to reflect on our progress and plan for the future (2026–2030).

Your Voice Matters

Five years into our decadal roadmap, we are assessing how well we are delivering on our strategic commitments, identifying areas for improvement, and refining our focus for the next phase. As a Mandela University alum, your insights are invaluable.

You have experienced the outcomes of our strategy firsthand — from career readiness to learning environments, and from the reputation of your degree to the impact you make in the world. As Prof Heather Nel, Senior Director of the Office for Institutional Strategy, notes:
“University alumni offer unique external insights into how institutional strategy translates into real-world impact, such as graduate employability, societal impact, and institutional reputation.”

Building a Mosaic of Voices

The mid-term review blends quantitative performance data with qualitative, participatory input -  creating a “mosaic of voices” that will inform the University’s five-year strategic priorities and commitments through 2030.

Your perspective will help guide the University in shaping its next chapter.
