Strict COVID-19 protocols were followed to enable the graduands, their guests (limited to two per graduand) and a restricted number of academic and other support staff to graduate safely at the Madibaz Indoor Centre at 10am over the two-day period.
The ceremonies were also be screened on the University’s YouTube channel.
Given the academic challenges of the past two years due to the pandemic, the success of these graduands - 128 masters and 43 doctorates - added to the significance of the occasion.
They were joined virtually by struggle veteran and strategist, Joel Netshitenzhe, who was lauded with an honorary doctorate see full story on news site.
