Eastern Cape born and bred singer-songwriter, Amanda Benedicta Antony, known to her fans as Amanda Black, bagged four SAMA awards (23rd South African Music Awards) recently.
NMMU LLB graduate, now a Malmesbury-based Legal Aid lawyer has received a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as a recipient of the 2017 Mandela Washington Fellowship.

More than 6700 graduates crossed the stage over Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University’s (NMMU) two-week long graduation period, which started in George on 31 March 2017.

Port Elizabeth-born model and NMMU Alumnus, Delon le Roux continues to edge his way into the extremely competitive world of Korean Fashion. In April, the Public Relations and Corporate Communications graduate, walked for the luxury brand, Greedilous by prominent fashion Designer, Park Yoon-Hee, at her Seoul Fashion Week’s 2017 Fall/Winter showing.
Vaal University of Technology’s (VUT) community has announced the appointment of renowned academic and social scientist Professor Gordon Ndodomzi Zide as vice-chancellor and principal with effect from May 1 2017.

Later this year, we will officially become Nelson Mandela University when our new university name is formally launched – an exciting proposition particularly in respect to the opportunities associated with being named after one of the world’s greatest statesmen.
